The National Security Technologies LLC (NSTec) would like to invite law enforcement, fire, EMS, public health and public safety personnel to attend the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Radiological/Nuclear Responder Operations Courses to be held in San Antonio, TX.

There is NO tuition cost to the student.

The training is fully funded by the FEMA National Preparedness Directorate (NPD).

Target Audience: Emergency responders, including law enforcement agencies, fire departments, hazardous materials technicians, bomb squads, SWAT, public health services, emergency medical service personnel, or other emergency management personnel.

Course Descriptions:

WMD Radiological/Nuclear Responder Operations Course - May 13-15, 2008
(8:00AM - 5PM Daily)
The Responder course draws from an Awareness level of knowledge the student has on the basics of radiation, possible health effects and hazard identification. The training focuses on basic radiological detection, survey instruments, risk-based response, crime-scene preservation, personal protective equipment (PPE), and radiological incidents. The course consists of both classroom instruction and scenario-driven, hands-on, performance-oriented practical exercises with actual radiological sources. Although every participant will be issued a radiation survey meter, participants are encouraged to bring their own from their home department or jurisdiction.

Prerequisite: Students should have attended a WMD awareness course within the last five years.

The primary objective of the comprehensive two-day flagship diversity seminar is to stimulate awareness and acceptance of individual differences within organizations through learning simulations, small group dialogue and full group interactive, (i.e., role-modeling) activities from a communication perspective.

There are no "bad guys" in this training and no blame games played.

Course Description:

Objectives:

The primary objective of the two-day comprehensive inter cultural communication training is to increase communication between operatives and leaders whose cultural perceptions and symbol systems are distinct enough to alter the communication process; thus, decreasing organizational productivity.

Course Description:

KGHarris & Associates, LLC inter cultural communication training examines the relationship between culture and organizational communication from several conceptual perspectives. Through reflective training, participants learn theories and engage in activities that acknowledge, appreciate and articulate conflicts involved in complex inter cultural interactions and the strategies to solve them in the workplace.
