Welcome to our Fire Brigade's information page.
Our brigade became active January 1, 2010.
In accordance with Washington State law at WAC 296-811-100: "A fire brigade is an organized group of employees whose primary employment is other than firefighting but who are knowledgeable, trained, and skilled in specialized firefighting operations based on site-specific hazards present at a single commercial facility or facilities under the same management".
Our fire brigade has one truck and is currently in the training stage and hopes to become active as a non-structural, exterior fire protection unit by July of 2010. The brigade as noted above, is composed of volunteers and under the control of the asset manager.
Our Lieutenant, in accordance with WAC 296-811-30010, has received S-130/190 basic wildland firefighter 2 training, basic first aid/cpr certification, basic emergency management certification through the military emergency management program and the FEMA Institute. Additionally is an active peace officer, has served as an acting volunteer fire chief of his home town and a fire guard for the forest service.
