We are a Volunteer department with 13 active members. The Rescue side is an EMT-B level. Half of our members are EMT-B certified. Many members are Firefighter 1 certified and a few are Firefighter 2 certified. All members are Haz Mat Ops certified, CPR Heartsaver, and Manditory Reporters.

Our department attends numerous classes such as, Ice Rescue, High and Low Angle Rope Rescue, Grain Bin Rescue, Vehicle Extrication Rescue, and Water/River Rescue.

Our jusristiction is mainly Adams Township but we mutual aid to many surrounding communities. De Soto responds to approximatly 160 calls per year.
