About Us

 
The Bishop Fire Department is a fully Volunteer department that provides fire and rescue and operates under the Nueces County Emergency Service District 3 of Texas. We operate with 2 stations 3 engines, 2 brush trucks, 2 tankers, and 1 rescue truck. We cover an area of 196 square miles containing refineries, farm land, ranch land, small cities, and a major highway. The department is currently operated by a Chief, 2 Asst. Chiefs, 1 Captain, and has about 15 active members. The annual call average for our area is about 250 calls.
