Hello and welcome to our home on the web. The Hawley Volunteer Fire Department is a full service emergency response team that covers much of the southern half of Jones County in North Central Texas. As of the 2000 census, the City of Hawley itself contains just over 600 people.
Our department was formed in 1966, and we strive to provide the best possible service to our community. We are members locally of the Big Country Fire Fighters Association, as well as the Mid-West Texas Firefighters Association. We are also a member in good standing with the Texas State Firemens' and Fire Marshals' Association.
We currently have 25 members on our staff, 18 of whom hold various firefighting and instructor certifications with the State Firemens' and Fire Marshals' Association, We also have 1 with an ECA certification, 7 with EMT-B/NREMT-B certifications and 1 with an NREMT-Paramedic certification with the Texas Department of State Health Services.
The Hawley VFD is a non-profit organization with Internal Revenue Service registration under Federal Code 501(c)(3). Equipment and Financial Donations are always needed and greatly appreciated. If you would like to become a firefighter, please call the station at (325) 537-2839, and kindly leave your callback information. One of our officers will be in contact with you.
